Job Summary
Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble, then dismantle equipment using hoists, cranes, and power tools to remove defective parts. Inspect used components with measuring instruments, adjust functional parts, and repair or replace faulty items before installing new structural pieces. Start devices post-repair to verify correct operation and complete preventive maintenance according to the PM Schedule. Source parts from available resources, coordinate with purchasing, and strictly adhere to IFG safety policies, work order procedures, and Microsoft systems while maintaining accuracy in a high-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience repairing and servicing a variety of machinery
- Proven self-direction
- Must be able to work individually or in a team to complete equipment repairs
- An effective listener
- Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Demonstrates initiative
- Effective in stressful situations and a high paced environment
- Must follow all IFG Safety policies and procedures
- Must understand and follow the IFG Work Order Procedure
- Must have understanding and be able to work in Microsoft Word and Excel systems
