Job Summary
Hands-on Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping production equipment and facility running safely and efficiently. Own the preventive maintenance program for industrial machinery including hydraulic presses, hose-assembly equipment, and fluid transfer systems; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and determine root causes; repair or replace defective parts and coordinate with the Production Manager to minimize downtime; maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history; monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and order parts as needed; perform facility upkeep to maintain clean, organized workspaces; ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies; identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and equipment reliability, and contribute ideas for operational efficiency; collaborate with the Production Manager and production team to support a reliable manufacturing operation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in industrial maintenance with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented documentation
- Reliable and self-directed with preventive maintenance scheduling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; physical stamina for extended periods
- OSHA safety compliance knowledge
