Job Summary
Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance by observing devices to locate root causes, dismantling units to remove defective parts, and reconditioning machine tools. Independently execute repairs, replace components, and test electrical circuitry and mechanical systems while utilizing predictive maintenance technologies to collect performance data. Source necessary parts and supplies, operate metalworking tools like lathes and drill presses, and troubleshoot control systems to resolve software and hardware issues. Comply with 5S standards, drive for cost savings, and assist lower-level technicians through advanced training and development programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry
- 5 years of related experience in general industry
- successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
- Can analyze problems and perform repairs
- Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
- Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
