Job Summary
Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance by observing devices, dismantling units to locate root causes, and replacing defective parts. Independently execute repairs on machine tools, lathe, drill press, and grinder operations, including welding tasks as needed. Troubleshoot control systems to resolve software and hardware configuration issues while utilizing predictive maintenance technologies to collect performance data. Source parts and supplies, update CMMS records, and drive Continuous Improvement activities focused on cost savings. Comply with safety policies, 5S standards, and industry regulations while providing technical assistance to lower-level technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry
- 5 years of related experience in general industry
- Successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
- Can analyze problems and perform repairs
- Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
- Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
