Maintenance Technician III

Lead Maintenance Technician at AvalonBay Communities in Baltimore, MD. Responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, and other maintenance areas; supervise Maintenance Technicians I and II; conduct apartment Preventative Maintenance; ensure vacant apartment homes and car garages are rent-ready; assist with organizing and completing work orders; maintain safety culture and compliance with AVB policies; perform hot works when applicable; eligible for housing discounts and other benefits. Must have a valid driver's license, HVAC (CFC) certifications or willingness to learn, ability to work in an on-call rotation, and strong communication with associates and residents; ability to read and follow policies and procedures, identify and handle cleaning chemicals, SDS, PPE, and understand safety data sheets.
