Job Summary
Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including troubleshooting diagnostics, cleaning coils, and handling refrigerant leaks. Perform electrical work by inspecting wiring, replacing outlets and switches, and testing current. Execute plumbing repairs on faucets, toilets, and water heaters while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Communicate clearly with residents, vendors, and the Assistant Maintenance Manager to prioritize and complete service requests efficiently. Utilize work order systems and company vehicles to drive productivity across properties.
Required Qualifications
- Valid drivers license
- EPA 608 Certification for Refrigerant Management (Type II or Universal Certification)
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years maintenance/construction background
- Ability to work on-call and overtime hours, as needed
- Ability to correspond (in writing and verbally) effectively with team members, residents, and vendors
- Ability to work safely, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to lift objects weighing 50lbs or more regularly
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work in environmentally and physically challenging working conditions
- Must be able to drive safely (if driving a company-provided vehicle)
