Job Summary
Complete service order requests timely and accurately while monitoring maintenance supply inventory and informing supervisors of items requiring ordering. Service and maintain community equipment to ensure uninterrupted use, performing preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation systems. Participate in 24-hour emergency maintenance service and weather emergencies as needed. This role supports Ross Companies' core values of customer service and resident comfort in College Park, MD, requiring hands-on expertise in HVAC, fire safety, and apartment turnovers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience including HVAC repair and preventative maintenance of individual or central plant equipment, appliance, plumbing and electrical systems and repairs, fire safety equipment and repairs, supervision and preparation of apartment turnovers and flooring installations
- Ability to assist and follow instructions in the performance of all maintenance repairs and duties independently, professionally and in a timely responsible manner
- Initiative and motivation to continue training to develop skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- CFC - Type 2 may be required
- A valid driver's license
- Lifting, standing, walking, twisting, crawling, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling, steering and bending, with dead weight in excess of 40 pounds
- Operating powered and non – powered equipment and tools where manual pushing, pulling or steering of equipment is required
