Job Summary
Maintenance Technician III responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining critical data center systems to ensure 100% uptime. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, HVAC, mechanical, life safety, plumbing, and critical power systems. Operates HVAC equipment (chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, VFD pumps/motors) and life-safety systems (fire alarm and suppression). Evaluates and diagnoses system problems and adheres to prescribed procedures while prioritizing with supervision as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 4+ years related work experience in building systems maintenance (HVAC, electro-mechanical, etc.) operation and repair
- 1+ year of experience with Automated Building Management System
- Experience operating and maintaining chiller plants and data center systems
- Experience reading blueprints and mechanical/electrical/plumbing plans
- Experience with redundant electrical systems (UPS, STS, on-site generating systems)
- Proficient with Windows-based computer usage
- Ability to work night shift from 11pm to 7am
- Ability to perform heavy physical work as described (exert up to 100 pounds occasionally)
