Job Summary
Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Locate mechanical and electrical problems by observing devices, listening for issues, and using precision measuring instruments. Dismantle devices to remove defective parts, adjust functional components, and fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment. Maintain equipment inventories by checking stock levels, expediting orders, and verifying receipts. Control downtime by informing production workers of maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by analyzing trends and provide technical information to answer requests. Perform building, lighting, and plumbing repairs for the facility as needed. Work flexible hours including overtime, with the ability to drive to other facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 5 years of related experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to work flexible hours including over time as needed
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
