Job Summary
Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, masonry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in rental units, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots. Complete assigned service requests consistent with company operating procedures, ensuring vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy. Perform preventive maintenance, building, and annual unit inspections while maintaining grounds through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management. Maintain availability for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule. This role supports Huntington Woods, a 280-unit affordable housing community in Bristol, CT.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic familiarity with computers and tablets
- Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs
- Ability to speak and understand basic English
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training
- CAMT certification
