Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments and repair Programmable Logic Controllers and associated control systems. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs, follow blueprints and schematics, and perform daily safety checks on boilers. Conduct wastewater pre-treatment system testing, record results, and adjust chemicals as needed. Perform basic welding, inspect and lubricate mechanical parts, and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Apply lockout/tagout procedures and work overtime as required. Requires high school diploma, one year of industrial maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
