Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments and repair Programmable Logic Controllers. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs while following blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions. Perform boiler chemical testing, safety checks, and basic welding activities. Inspect and lubricate mechanical parts, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System for daily tasks. Requires high school diploma, two-year technical degree preferred, and minimum one year of industrial maintenance experience. Must possess valid driver's license, ability to lift 80 lbs, and pass a maintenance knowledge assessment. Schedule includes Monday through Friday with periodic night and weekend overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
