Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments and repair programmable logic controllers and associated control systems. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs while following blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions. Perform boiler chemical testing, conduct daily safety checks, and execute basic welding activities for facility repairs. Inspect and lubricate mechanical components, utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires high school diploma, one year of industrial maintenance experience, lockout/tagout knowledge, and ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
