Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments, repair PLCs and control systems, and perform daily safety checks on boilers. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs, execute welding activities, and inspect moving parts in accordance with blueprints and technical manuals. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System to track results and make chemical adjustments for wastewater pre-treatment. Requires high school diploma, one year of industrial maintenance experience, and ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
