Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments and repair programmable logic controllers and associated control systems. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs, follow blueprints and schematics, and perform daily safety checks on boilers. Conduct wastewater pre-treatment testing, adjust chemicals as needed, and inspect motors, belts, and gears. Perform basic welding activities and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System for all duties. This role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of industrial maintenance experience, and lockout/tagout certification. Candidates must pass a knowledge assessment, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to lift up to 80 lbs. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday with periodic night and weekend overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
