Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments, repair PLCs and control systems, and perform daily safety checks on boilers. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs, execute basic welding, and inspect mechanical components while utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Follow blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions to maintain industrial processing equipment in a production environment. Requires a high school diploma, one year of industrial maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work overtime. On-the-job training provided for career advancement within a rapidly growing garment services organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
