Maintenance Technician II - UniFirst

Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and associated control systems. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs while following blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions. Perform daily safety checks on boilers, conduct wastewater pre-treatment testing, and execute basic welding activities for facility repairs. Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System and perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Requires Monday-Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime, lockout/tagout experience, and ability to lift 80 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
