Maintenance Technician II - UniFirst

Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments, repair PLCs and control systems, and execute emergency and non-emergency maintenance on industrial facilities. Perform daily safety checks on boilers, conduct wastewater pre-treatment testing, and execute basic welding repairs. Inspect and lubricate mechanical components while utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System to log results. Assist other maintenance personnel and follow blueprints and manufacturer specifications for all tasks. Requires a high school diploma, one year of industrial maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
