Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision measuring instruments and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated control systems. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs while following blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions. Perform daily safety checks on boilers, conduct wastewater pre-treatment testing, and execute basic welding activities. Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System and perform other duties as assigned. Requires Monday through Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime, on-the-job training, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
