Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments, repair PLCs and control systems, and perform emergency and non-emergency maintenance on industrial facilities. Conduct daily safety checks on boilers, inspect motor components, perform basic welding, and adjust wastewater treatment systems while utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Assist other personnel with repairs and follow blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions to complete assigned tasks. Requires a high school diploma, one year of industrial maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
