Maintenance Technician II - UniFirst

Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments, repair PLCs and control systems, and perform emergency and non-emergency maintenance on industrial facilities. Execute daily safety checks on boilers, conduct wastewater pre-treatment testing, and perform basic welding activities. Inspect and lubricate mechanical parts, read blueprints, and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Assist other personnel with repairs and follow manufacturer instructions while maintaining accurate logs. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 80 lbs, and experience with lockout/tagout procedures. Monday through Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
