Job Summary
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments and repair programmable logic controllers and associated control systems. Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs on industrial processing equipment while following blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions. Perform daily safety checks on boilers, adjust wastewater pre-treatment systems, and conduct basic welding activities. Inspect, clean, and lubricate shafts and gears, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system for all tasks. Requires high school diploma, one year of industrial maintenance experience, lockout/tagout certification, and ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
- Applicable military experience
- Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Lockout / Tagout experience
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
