Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment, wiring, and component systems including radar, LIDAR, video surveillance, and network communications. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, isolate faults, execute module or PC board swaps, and conduct field tests. Diagnose hardware and software issues, restore equipment to operational status, and maintain spare parts inventory. Complete reports, logs, and shift communications while responding to maintenance requests and alarms. Assist with technician training and document technical status accurately. Requires a driver's license, ability to work at heights exceeding 50 ft, and experience with traffic control devices. Based in Houston, Texas, this role supports TransCore's field operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Driver's license in good standing
- Ability to work at heights that could be in excess of 50 ft
- Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills for both hardware and software
- Proficiency with networking concepts, including TCP/IP and communication protocols
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic toll collection systems, RFID, ANPR, or traffic control devices
- Experience with CCTV Cameras and Traffic Signal controller
