Job Summary
Facilities-focused Maintenance Technician II role at The Scion Group: responds to maintenance and repair requests, performs preventive maintenance, prepares apartments for turnovers, and ensures safety and functionality of building systems. Requires experience in life-safety diagnostics (fire pumps, alarms, sprinkler systems, detectors, emergency lighting), coordination with vendors, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collegiate environment. Must have high school/GED or trade schooling with 3-5 years of full-time maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608, CPO (or plan to obtain), valid driver's license, strong communication skills, safety-conscious approach, and ability to travel and work after-hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school/GED or trade school diploma
- minimum of 3-5 years of full-time general maintenance experience
- HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or intention to obtain within six months
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Knowledge of key management and security systems
- Knowledge of safety procedures with a safety-conscious attitude
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to access computer programs (Entrata, CMMS, Building Automation system & Digital Control System)
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Ability to stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.
