Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds, preparing vacant rental units for occupancy. Visually inspect properties to report repairs, unusual circumstances, or resident issues to management while responding to requests in a timely manner. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring work areas remain clean and all tools function properly. Adhere to OSHA standards, safety policies, and community guidelines while wearing required uniforms. Work on-site with a rotating on-call schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) to three (3) years of related experience and or training
- Computer skills including internet, e-mail, (MS Outlook) MS Excel, MS Word
- Familiarity with common cleaning tools
- Proficiency in unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Thorough and attentive to detail
- Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder to complete various maintenance tasks
- Must be able to position self to install equipment in fixed spaces and at awkward angles in a repetitive manner and/or extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in a space that includes indoor and outdoor spaces, with and without covering
- Must be able to move throughout the property as needed
- Must be able to transport boxes and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to communicate with other persons in the building
- Must be able to observe details in surrounding areas and on a screen
- Must be available to work on an on-call basis
- Must be able to wear the required uniform and maintain a professional appearance at all times
