Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary
Respond to floor calls, write work orders, and repair machines while performing preventive maintenance on a timely basis. Start up production and support machines, read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and clean up after jobs are complete. Use hand tools, levers, and pedals to control lifting apparatus on forklifts and clamp trucks. This primarily 1st shift role requires occasional off-shift coverage assistance and involves lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates must have a high school diploma, ability to read safety rules and operating instructions, and experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: verbal, listening and reading
- Ability to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools as required by specific
- Primarily a 1st shift position, however ability to occasionally assist in off shift coverage is required
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Use of hand tools move levers and press pedals to drive and control lifting apparatus on forklift, clamp truck, or any other maintenance equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages
