Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery used in PVC pipe production. Tasks include performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; locating root causes of problems; fabricating repair parts; aligning motor/gearbox couplings with laser tools; assisting in changeovers, line setup, startups, and shutdowns to minimize downtime; and maintaining equipment such as electric motors, pumps, gear motors, PVC pipe belling equipment, air compressors, HVAC components, and material conveyance systems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong mechanical aptitude, safety focus, ability to read mechanical drawings and perform basic calculations, and good communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Must be adaptable to changing priorities in a work environment with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.

- Must supply own hand tools and toolbox.
- Must have experience with installation and repair of machinery.
- Must have good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate calculations.
- Must be able to pay attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
