Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary

Conduct complete preventative maintenance inspections and services on all production and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment to meet company performance standards while applying a continuous improvement mindset to support process improvements. Comply with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and OSHA regulations using proper personal protective equipment and personal tools. This role requires moderate knowledge of PLC systems and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills are beneficial.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three years of related experience and/or training in equipment maintenance and repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Moderate knowledge of and/or experience with PLC systems
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to accurately record data
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of motion
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move items exceeding 100 lbs
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual skills
  • Experience and/or certification in Basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
  • Experience and/or certification in Conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls)
  • Experience and/or certification in Electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
  • Experience and/or certification in Electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/vfds, etc.)
  • Experience and/or certification in Gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts)
  • Experience and/or certification in Hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting)
  • Experience and/or certification in Kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.)
  • Experience and/or certification in Packaging/high speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.)
  • Experience and/or certification in Pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting)
  • Experience and/or certification in Pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.)
  • Experience and/or certification in Preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data)
  • Experience and/or certification in Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs)
  • PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialty certifications
