Job Summary
Troubleshoot mechanical and low voltage electrical failures, identifying root causes and continuous improvement opportunities while performing routine preventative maintenance and work orders. Minimize downtime in a fast-pass production environment by identifying high-risk areas and maintaining good housekeeping practices in work zones. Liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication and work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety. Adhere strictly to all safety and quality policies while collaborating with the Maintenance team under the supervision of a Team Lead and Maintenance Supervisor. Complete maintenance reports and logs as required to support effective maintenance systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Millwright license (433A)
- Ability to work independently
- Prioritize tasks
- Exercise effective judgment
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Excellent attendance record
- Demonstrated reliability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Must be able to work overtime
- Must be able to work 12 hour rotating continental shift schedule (2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a millwright or maintenance technician in a continuous process manufacturing environment
- Experience in food or pharmaceuticals
