Job Summary
Perform complex troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on conveyor systems, automated sortation systems, robotic pickers, forklifts, and palletizers using advanced diagnostic tools. Execute preventative maintenance tasks, participate in equipment upgrades and retrofits, and generate reports on downtime and efficiency metrics. Lead emergency response efforts during breakdowns, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining accurate repair logs. Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and pallet jacks, and work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- Ten or more years of related experience
- Equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education
- Completion of vocational or technical school
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Ability to use knives/box cutters
- Ability to operate heavy machinery/hazardous equipment
- Ability to operate a fork lift/pallet jack
- Ability to use precision hand tools
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes
- Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor
- Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus
- Continuously required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to stand or walk
- Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling

- Advanced hydraulic knowledge
- Advanced electrical and troubleshooting knowledge

Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in related field preferred
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred
- Material handling equipment training preferred
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy
