Job Summary
Execute preventative maintenance programs and troubleshoot diagnostics for material handling systems and conveyors, including motor/reducer issues, belt tracking, and lacing. Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems, relay logic, and PLC components while safely operating forklifts and lifts. Lead training plans for service technicians, create work orders with labor data, and design maintenance solutions for difficult problems. Support the Operations team in developing plans to accomplish department goals while maintaining a safe working environment. Work the 3rd shift (9:00 PM–5:30 AM) Monday through Friday, moving up to 49 lbs and standing/walking for shifts up to 12 hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
- Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working Knowledge of a work order system
- Must be able to safely operate equipment: forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools, and energy management equipment
- Must be able to Move up to 49lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures
- Must be able to Diagnose, using test equipment, electrical and electronic control systems and other related equipment, devices or components
- Must be able to Maintain and troubleshoot basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders
