Job Summary
Complete assigned service requests and repairs for residential apartment buildings, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance maintenance. Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment and restore vacated apartments to market-ready status by inspecting units and overseeing vendors. Diagnose issues and execute installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs for systems ranging from security locks to flooring and walls. Maintain overall building and grounds conditions, including outside custodial duties like snow removal as required. This role operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with an on-call rotation every couple of weeks. Mac Properties is a private residential real estate company with operations in Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Provide own basic tool
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance tools
- Ability to respond to after-hour emergencies, when on-call duty is assigned
- Must successfully complete a criminal background investigation
- Must provide satisfactory responses to reference requests
- Must provide satisfactory proof of an applicant's identity
- Must provide proof of legal authority to work in the United States
