Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary
Provide first response assistance to trouble calls and perform average to considerable difficulty building maintenance in office, industrial, and ranch environments. Inspect, identify, and correct facility and equipment problems to prevent failures while planning preventive maintenance schedules. Document work, purchase orders, and material lists to account for resources, then order supplies to ensure availability for projects and emergency responses. Reconfigure modular offices, install signage, and recommend building modifications to supervisors to meet standards and codes. Train co-workers on preventive maintenance, provide direction to vendors and contractors, and prepare inspection reports and labor estimates for supervisors. Work M-F, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed in Encinal, TX. Requires a high school diploma, three years of related experience, and a valid Texas driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 years related experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight regularly
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
Desired Qualifications
- TDLR Journeyman Electrician License preferred
- EPA HVAC/R Universal Certification preferred
- Plumbing License preferred
- In depth knowledge of standard industry and OSHA safety practices
- Familiarity with local/state/federal rules and regulations for maintenance work activities
