Job Summary
Conduct maintenance on turnover and renovation units while responding to service requests for internal repairs, plumbing, HVAC systems, and common area clean-up. Operate machine tools like lathes and grinders to fabricate parts, and repair wooden structures including cabinets and counters. Manage inventory, prepare paperwork, and maintain equipment in orderly condition. Provide emergency and after-hours coverage based on the established schedule. Full-time role requiring weekends; background screen and drug test required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work
- Able to use required tools and machinery
- Professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors
- Knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements
- Knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work
- Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends required
- High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful background screen
- Completion of drug test
