Job Summary
Diagnose and repair issues in rental units, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots, covering appliances, carpentry, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Complete assigned service requests and repairs per company procedures while ensuring vacant apartments are market-ready. Execute preventive maintenance orders, building safety inspections, and annual unit inspections. Maintain curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management. Adhere to a Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM schedule with rotating on-call duty every four weeks. This role supports WinnCompanies' mission to strengthen neighborhoods through quality housing at Kingsbury Towers in Trenton, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic familiarity with computers and tablets
- Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs
- Ability to speak and understand basic English
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training
- Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT)
