Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary
Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades and perform required work while demonstrating respect for residents' homes. Conduct regular ProCare visits to execute proactive maintenance, complete associated checklists in the mobile app, and schedule follow-up visits. Educate residents on home expectations and functional systems, while performing general property condition assessments to alert management of urgent items. Review technician-specific reports for improvement opportunities and handle repairs in vacant properties during the turn process. Adhere to safety guidelines and manage daily appointments to ensure proper equipment and materials are available for single-visit completion.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-5+ years' proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, other building maintenance or related experience
- OSHA 10 is required (new hires will have up to 90 days to complete OSHA 10 certification if not already certified)
- Must possess a current driver's license, automobile insurance, and any other licenses and/or certification as required by state law
- Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis including occasional weekends and holidays
- Ability to provide basic hand and power tools
- Ability to perform work that requires: Frequent climbing, reaching, use of fingers, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing
- Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 pounds or more and operate standard maintenance equipment as assigned
- Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems and ability to perform general repairs in some of the following: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor) and appliances
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Certification: Type I, Type II, and/or EPA Universal HVAC Certification
- CPO certification (pool)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Multi-lingual
- Comfortability using mobile devices (i.e. iPad and/or iPhone) and various mobile applications
