Job Summary
Conduct routine painting, minor plumbing, and electrical repairs while maintaining rental property cleanliness in common areas, basements, and grounds. Collaborate with senior technicians on advanced tasks including HVAC maintenance, mold remediation, and appliance fixes. Respond to tenant requests, perform weekly building inspections, and complete preventive maintenance logs. Monitor mechanical systems, document work orders, and show properties to inspectors and contractors. Travel to portfolio locations as needed and fulfill rotating on-call duties. Requires valid driver's license and ability to work outside business hours.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years' equivalent experience in maintenance, or a related role, with 1 year as a field specialist
- Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance, cleaning processes, and performing simple mechanical repairs
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, instructions, and simple diagrams
- Ability to complete basic forms and write basic correspondence when necessary
- Experience using various hand tools, simple power tools, and measuring instruments
- Experience with Microsoft Office and other computer/phone applications, and comfort learning new technologies
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated attention-to-detail in work performed
- Ability to regularly work outside of business hours according to on-call schedule
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; reliable vehicle
