Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II responsible for preventive maintenance and repair work across appliances, carpentry, hardware, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; perform unit turnovers and prepare market-ready apartments; maintain community grounds, curb appeal, and common areas; respond to service requests, coordinate with vendors, and participate in annual inspections; available for on-call emergencies and maintain professional relations with residents and vendors; requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, basic HVAC/electrical/plumbing knowledge, strong customer service, and ability to work alone or as part of a team; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with on-call as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or related field
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
- Experience completing unit turnovers and handling work orders in a timely manner
- Ability to perform minor repairs, including patching walls and fixing fixtures
- Basic computer skills, including navigating web-based applications and work order systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accept constructive feedback
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of appliances and plumbing systems preferred
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with on-call availability as needed
