Job Summary
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot PLC systems, and replace failed components while documenting all work orders. Execute machine changeovers, adjust roll tooling, and operate equipment including mills, lathes, and drill presses. Lead special projects such as machine relocation and guarding, and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians. Requires 3+ years of equipment maintenance experience and proficiency with hydraulic, electrical, and control systems. Work in hot or cold conditions around heavy manufacturing machinery, with high noise levels requiring hearing protection. Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma / Technical School
- Basic Mechanics
- 3+ years Equipment Maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems functions and identify failed components
- Proficient in the operation of maintenance machinery, mills, lathes, drill presses
- Ability to manufacture or repair precision, design and manufacture machine guards as needed
- Strong knowledge of schematics and blueprints, equipment set up and lay out
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems
- Electrical wiring to include motor wiring, motor control wiring, 120, 220, 480 service connects, system electrical connections and controls
- Working knowledge of AC, DC drives
- Ability to troubleshoot AC, DC drives and identify failed components
- Use of hand tools
- Troubleshooting on mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Working knowledge of PLC
- Knowledge of AC and DC inverters as well as programmable controllers
- Able to read of schematics and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems
- Electrical wiring to include motor wiring, motor control wiring, 120, 220, 480 service connects, system electrical connections and controls
- Must be able to run conduit and wiring, air lines, hydraulic lines
- Able to align level and anchor machinery
- Able to Lift 50 lbs.
- Able to work at elevated heights
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Able to walk long distances
- Able to pass a job-related Human Performance Evaluation
- Able to work long hours in hot conditions during spring and summer
- Able to work in cold conditions during fall and winter
- Able to work around heavy manufacturing machinery
- Able to start your shift as required, on time
- Able to continually update on all facets of a Safety Conscious Work Environment
- Able to work in a plant environment regularly exposed to moving forklifts and pallets
- Able to work in a plant environment occasionally exposed to hot or cold conditions
- Able to work in a plant environment with high noise levels requiring hearing protections
- Must wear steel toed shoes
- Must wear protective eyewear at all times in the plant
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
