Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II responsible for a broad range of facilities tasks, including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and related building equipment. Performs routine repairs, supports electricians, operates lawn and turf equipment, oversees basic carpentry and painting work, assists with campus safety and record-keeping, training student employees, and contributes to a safe, efficient maintenance culture aligned with Geneva College’s Christian mission.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of related maintenance experience
- Ability to perform non-technical maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Ability to monitor and repair building systems and components
- Experience with lawn and turf equipment operation
- Carpentry and painting/drywall skills
- Ability to read and follow safety procedures
- Valid driver’s license
- Christian commitment and alignment with Geneva College values
