Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II at Invitation Homes performing high-quality maintenance across trades in single-family rental homes, delivering excellent resident service. Responsibilities include completing multi-trade maintenance requests, proactive ProCare visits, resident education on maintenance expectations, using the maintenance mobile app to manage visits, conducting property condition assessments, reviewing technician reports for improvements, performing repairs in vacant properties during turns, and adhering to safety guidelines. Requires strong customer service, ability to operate tools and equipment, and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds; requires OSHA 10 and relevant certifications; full-time with regular schedule and potential weekend/holiday work; willingness to use mobile devices and stay integrated with property management systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-5+ years’ proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related field
- OSHA 10 certification (will have up to 90 days to complete if not already certified)
- EPA Certification: Type I, Type II, and/or EPA Universal (plus HVAC)
- CPO certification (pool) is a plus
- Excellent customer service and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) and various mobile applications
- Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems; ability to perform general repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, HVAC minor, appliances)
- Current driver's license and automobile insurance
- Ability to work weekends/holidays and lift 50+ pounds
