Job Summary
Perform daily maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, and appliances while responding promptly to resident requests. Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using the Make Ready Checklist and maintain exterior grounds and pool areas. Conduct regular inspections of buildings, common areas, and systems to ensure safety and cleanliness, reporting inventory needs and potential liabilities to vendors and contractors. Participate in the emergency on-call rotation and after-hours emergencies, adhering to safe work practices and Fairfield policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum one year of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- General computer skills, including operating a mobile device
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Time-management skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Superior customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult customers and situations
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
