Job Summary
Provide electrical expertise for the installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets while troubleshooting failures to identify root causes. Perform routine preventative maintenance, repair parts in the shop, and collaborate with other trades to complete project assignments. Diagnose problems accurately, take corrective measures for permanent fixing, and complete maintenance reports and logs to support effective planning. Liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication and maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and maintenance shop. Adhere to all safety and quality policies while working effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety. Work within the Maintenance team with the Team Lead and report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ontario licensed electrician recognized by College of Trades
- 3 to 5 years proven industrial experience troubleshooting pumps, automated systems, pneumatic & robotic equipment
- Valid Construction or Industrial Electrician license
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise effective judgment
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Excellent attendance record and demonstrated reliability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Willingness to work overtime if required for vacation coverage, projects and audit preparation
- Ability to work in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
- Adherence to all safety & quality policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Millwright license
- Previous experience as an electrician or maintenance technician in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably in food or pharmaceuticals
- Class B Operator Refrigeration License
