Job Summary
Provide electrical expertise for plant equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, identifying root causes and executing permanent fixes. Perform routine preventative maintenance, repair parts in the shop, and collaborate with other trades to complete project assignments while adhering to strict food safety and quality policies. Liaise with facility departments, complete maintenance reports, and maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area. Work within the Maintenance team under the Lead Hand, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Requires an Ontario licensed electrician with 3–5 years of industrial experience in continuous process manufacturing, including pumps and robotic equipment. Schedule involves rotating 12-hour continental shifts from Sunday to Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ontario licensed electrician recognized by College of Trades
- 3 to 5 years proven industrial experience troubleshooting pumps, automated systems, pneumatic & robotic equipment
- Valid Construction or Industrial Electrician license
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise effective judgment
- Solid mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Excellent attendance record and demonstrated reliability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Willingness to work overtime if required for vacation coverage, projects and audit preparation
- Ability to work in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
- Adherence to all safety & quality policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as an electrician or maintenance technician in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably in food or pharmaceuticals
- Millwright license
