Job Summary
Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds by completing repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems. Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl, and drywall repair while implementing programs to ensure facility safety and compliance with all regulations. Keep detailed records and reports, provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members, and collaborate with management to recruit for department needs. Troubleshoot and repair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods, including partial or full dismantling of equipment, and monitor water chemistry and filtration for pool maintenance. Available for emergency repair with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance
- Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality
- Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations for pool maintenance
- Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel
- Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing
- Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods
- Flexibility to be available for emergency repair
