Maintenance Technician II

Maintenance Technician II responsible for maintenance and alignment of precision machine tools (lathes, milling machines, NC machines, grinders). Independently troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions; determine operation sequences and methods for repair, modification, or overhaul; reestablish tolerances and alignments; conduct functional tests to identify malfunctions; plan disassembly, repair, renewal, and reassembly of components (bearings, shafts, gears, beds and ways) and verify precision through measurements and tests. Set up and operate machine tools to fabricate or replace parts, scrape and fit bearings and gear trains to exact tolerances, and verify that machines meet operating requirements. Follow manufacturer specifications and maintenance handbooks; familiarity with 5-axis machines preferred. Requires 1-3 years CNC maintenance experience or equivalent education; strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and communication skills; Industrial machining education preferred.
