Job Summary
Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance by observing devices to locate root causes, dismantling units to remove defective parts, adjusting functional components, and testing electrical circuitry and mechanical systems. Independently execute repairs and replacements while identifying and sourcing necessary parts and supplies. Operate multiple machining operations including lathes, drill presses, and grinders to make and repair parts, and perform welding tasks as required. Troubleshoot control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues, utilizing predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Comply with 5S housekeeping standards, drive and participate in continuous improvement activities to process results and cost savings, and update records within the CMMS. Assist lower-level technicians and leadership on small teams while completing technical self-study programs for career development. Follow all safety policies, identify unsafe behaviors, and maintain situational awareness in a loud factory environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program
- Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems
- Can analyze problems and perform repairs
- Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
- Must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
