Job Summary
Install and repair production equipment and building facilities while performing preventative and reactive maintenance on all machinery. Diagnose problems, replace parts, and adjust manufacturing processes to ensure product integrity and meet budgeted goals. Execute emergency repairs during operation and scheduled maintenance during service, utilizing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Read equipment manuals, interpret work orders, and use hand/power tools to maintain controls for successful plant performance. Detect faulty operations, report unusual situations, and assist in training production employees on proper machinery operation. Work the 6:30am to 3pm first shift in West Hazleton, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
- Computer usage and typing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally
- Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
- A minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience
