Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II responsible for maintaining production equipment at Kings Mountain Operations, performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime. Performs routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoots industrial automation systems (including interlocks, sensors, field wiring, and control components), collaborates with QA to verify weld quality, installs/maintains hydraulic and pneumatic piping, reads blueprints/schematics, fabricates/install components, operates forklifts and material handling equipment, uses precision tools to diagnose mechanical/electrical work, and handles hazardous waste in compliance with regulations. Works in an indoor manufacturing environment, supporting safe and continuous production with potential shift rotation and on-call duty; embraces a team-driven culture with emphasis on safety, quality, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or GED
- basic math skills and reading comprehension
- General understanding of industrial safety practices
- General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems in a production setting
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and CMMS entry
- Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
