Job Summary
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment. Troubleshoot and repair pumps, piping systems, valves, motors, conveyors, and other manufacturing equipment. Support millwright activities, including equipment alignments, rebuilds, fabrication, and installation projects. Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational reliability. Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and process control devices. Support PLC and automation troubleshooting activities in partnership with engineering and operations teams. Execute maintenance work orders and accurately document maintenance activities within SAP. Collaborate with production, engineering, and reliability teams to improve equipment performance and plant efficiency. Promote a strong safety culture by following all environmental, health, and safety procedures and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience, including pumps, valves, piping systems, bearings, and rotating equipment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, motors, control circuits, and instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical drawings and blueprints
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities
- Journey-level certification in a skilled trade such as Electrical, Millwright, Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance
- Experience supporting chemical, food ingredients, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Advanced knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability-centered maintenance practices
